Travelling by car is always easy, but usually also a bit expensive. A part of the city centre is a no car zone and can get a bit confusing to get through by car. The best way to the city centre is by bike or public transportation. Throughout the city most streets are paid parking from 18.00 – 23.59. They introduced this concept a few years ago because of the parkingproblem in the city. The costs vary by neighborhood.

The Hague has a lot of paid parking and paid parking garages. The biggest parking garage in the city centre costs € 4,- for the first 56 minutes and € 2,- for every 28 minutes after that, with a maximum of € 30,- a day. It is open 24 hours, but expensive for longer times.

In the harbour there are a few streets that have free parking. Keep in mind that these street fill up quickly when the weather is good. For free parking you can go to Dr. Lelykade. The beach is on walking distance from here as well.
